Leftward to California!

It's true, Aimee and I have decided to take a grown up vacation to California to visit my sister and brother in law. This is probably the most spontaneous thing we've ever done. After a text from my sister and about 10 minutes of flight searching, we booked tickets for Feb 14-19. I'm excited to show off my new body at Muscle Beach...

Although this is a little old. Now I look a little more like this...

Should be a nice getaway from the cold, bland Minnesota winter. I think we'll go to a comedy club, Jay Leno, maybe a winery, maybe a Clippers game, maybe some camping...who knows? All I know is that my very pregnant sister will be the full time DD. If anyone reading this has any other good ideas of things to do in so cal, please let us know.

Before I go, I want to leave you all with this...enjoy!

So sorry to interrupt! Proceed.

I have decided to follow in Aimee's footsteps and start a blog, except mine doesn't have any real purpose. Just thoughts, ramblings, and whatever pops up into my head. Today is one of those days that I'm especially thankful that I don't work at HOM Furniture anymore. It's one of those miserable days that seemed too common last winter between November and February with snow, negative temps, and of course the Southern Minnesota wind. As if pulling a half ton armoire or entertainment console off the back of a truck wasn't bad enough in normal conditions, the snow, wind, and ice rink driveways made it that much more fun and safe.

Tomorrow I'm heading up to the cities for a much needed boys night out. Which reminds me of one of the greatest comedies of all time, Billy Madison. That was Adam Sandler at his best. Some like to say Happy Gilmore was better, but come on. "It's too damn hot for a penguin to be just walkin around. I gotta send you back to the South Pole."  Classic. But I digress. Can't wait to play some Risk, Smash, watch Almost heroes (another one of the greatest comedies ever), and drink some vodka.

Only a few more weeks til Spring Training and then my blogs will obviously swing to Tigers talk. Which reminds me of another movie and our trivia question of the day. It's an easy one. No Googling! Name the movie and male character's first name....

We scout the players.
We-We say which players they should keep...
- which they should get rid of.
- And the Red Sox ask your opinion?
Well, not yet.
But if they ever do, uh-
